Ontario Olympic Pavilion wins gold for steel construction

The Ontario Olympic Pavilion garnered another medal by winning a steel innovation award from the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction. The pavilion built for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games features extensive bracing because the building was not allowed to be anchored to the parking lot. "Almost every bay in the roof and the walls was braced," said Bob Benson, co-manager of the project for Benson Steel.
