Schwab says individual investors are concerned, with good reason

The flash crash of May 6 crystallized market concerns for many individual investors, prompting them to call their financial advisers to air their concerns. The markets have been challenging since early 2008, however, and investors' fears go beyond the plunge and rebound. "These are the most violent markets," said Charles Schwab. "Most people are still in a state of fear. I'd say 98 percent are still very concerned. And for a lot of good reasons. Look at the headlines. You've got these scoundrels doing all this stuff. People wonder, 'Who can I trust?' "
