Verizon Wireless points to tiered data pricing for LTE

Verizon Wireless will introduce tiered pricing plans to replace the unlimited-data model when the carrier rolls out its next-generation LTE network later this year, CEO Lowell McAdam said this week, indicating that subscribers will pay a monthly fee based on predetermined data usage. The move enables carriers to involve consumers in predicting how much data they will use each month, analysts say.
