ARM develops power-optimized Cortex A-15 for TSMC's mobile chips

ARM Holdings has come up with a power-optimized hard macro implementation of its Cortex-A15 processor core that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing will use with its 28-nanometer HPM -- high performance for mobile applications -- process. The dual-core hard macro will help speed up time to market for new IC designs, it was said.
