Kobo's e-readership climbs to 14.5 million

Toronto-based Kobo sold 2.5 million more e-readers in the first quarter, bringing its roster of registered users to 14.5 million, and users were reading 34% more than in in the same period last year, the company said. Kobo founder Indigo Books & Music sold its interest in the e-reader company to Japan's Rakuten last year for $315 million.
