Minn., Wis., break ground on $600M-plus St. Croix bridge project

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday to mark the start of construction of the new four-lane St. Croix Crossing between Minnesota and Wisconsin. Ames Construction and Lunda Construction were chosen by the Minnesota Department of Transportation last month to build the project's first phase. The new bridge, which could cost as much as $675 million, is slated to be completed in fall 2016.
