New York City launches bike-share program

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg rang a bicycle bell to set in motion the city's long-awaited bike-sharing program. The first phase makes available to riders more than 6,000 bicycles at 330 stations in Brooklyn and Manhattan. More bike stations are planned for Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens.
