Confectionery made with sugar alternatives are gaining popularity, as evidenced by products on display at the Sweets & Snacks Expo. "People want sugar-free items, but they don't want all those nasty chemicals," said Sally Cox of Koochikoo, makers of sugar-free cookies sweetened with monkfruit.
