Rail attracts Japanese automaker to do business at Ga. port

Rail facilities and services at the Port of Brunswick, Ga., were key to Japanese automaker Subaru's decision to import its vehicles through the port. Genesee & Wyoming's Golden Isles Terminal Railroad provides rail service to the port and interchanges with CSX and Norfolk Southern. Factors such as "Brunswick's speed to important markets, makes Georgia the smart choice for roll-on/roll-off cargo," said Curtis Foltz, Georgia Ports Authority executive director.
