Study: More practices replace existing EHRs

The number of practices that replaced their existing EHRs and bought new EHRs increased from 21% in 2010 to 31% this year, according to a study by Software Advice. The study also found the number of buyers who said eliminating paper records was the reason for the EHR purchase declined from 2010 to 2013.
