Survey: Non-anchor stores draw just as much mall traffic

Mall stores including Victoria's Secret, Hot Topic and Aeropostale have become just as big draws for shoppers as the department stores that anchor retail centers, according to a nationwide survey by Glimcher Realty Trust. About 43% of shoppers said the non-anchor stores were their primary destinations, and respondents also said the two most important mall activities are shopping and seeking out fashion trends.
