Mont. students create QR codes that link to videos about trail's dams

Software-engineering students at a Montana school have made it easier for visitors to learn about a recreational trail's dams via smartphone. The students, along with their teacher, worked on a grant-funded project in which they created interactive videos that can be accessed when the QR code is scanned from signs posted at each dam. The videos include old photos and other facts students gathered from interviews with dam workers. "I just love the involvement of the kids. They decided this would be a good thing to do," said Doug Wicks, president of Recreational Trails, which developed the trail system.
