California's theme parks spend millions to attract visitors

The economic downturn may mean fewer out-of-state visitors to California's theme parks, but it might also mean that locals will stay in state. In 2007, the state's theme and amusement parks attracted more than 40 million visitors, and the parks have spent more than $150 million this year on new rides, shows, attractions and parades to boost those numbers.
