Sharon Stone no longer face of Dior in China

Saying comments by actress Sharon Stone describing the earthquake in China's Sichuan Province as some kind of karmic retribution for the country's treatment of Tibet were "hurtful," high-end fashion brand Christian Dior has decided to pull the actress from its Chinese ads. "What comes through in this is the importance of the Chinese market to foreign brands," said Tom Bernardin, chairman and chief executive of Leo Burnett Worldwide. "Being successful in China, like anywhere else, means being sensitive to local conditions."
