Geithner to take pragmatic approach with China

A few months ago, officials in the Obama administration outlined the hard line they planned to take regarding economic relations with China, but Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is expected to ease up a bit. When Geithner visits China early next week, he will likely urge Chinese leaders to continue with economic-stimulus programs and encourage consumers to increase spending. He is not expected to press China on its alleged currency manipulation.
