U.S. mortgage delinquencies, foreclosures keep climbing

In a housing crisis that reaches homeowners once considered the most desirable borrowers, 12.07% -- about 5.4 million -- of all U.S. home mortgages were delinquent or going through foreclosure during the first quarter, the Mortgage Bankers Association said. That compares with 11.93% at the end of last year.
