Putnam CEO warns against cutting retirement incentives

A congressional proposal to cut retirement incentives will seriously harm Americans' savings, Putnam Investments CEO Robert Reynolds warns. Efforts to reduce the federal deficit shouldn't come at the expense of individuals' ability to prepare for retirement, he said. Instead, lawmakers should maintain incentives and increase access to retirement plans, such as individual retirement accounts.
