AMD gets into the game for microserver processors

Advanced Micro Devices is introducing its Opteron X "Kyoto" processors, aimed at applications in low-power microservers. Based on the company's "Jaguar" processor cores, the new line is meant to compete with Intel's Atom S1200 Series processors.
