Another compounding pharmacy issues recall

Tennessee-based Main Street Family Pharmacy issued a recall of all of the company's sterile products after injections containing methylprednisolone acetate were linked to adverse reactions in seven patients. Tennessee recently relaxed restrictions on compounding pharmacies, a change that allows compounders to prepare drugs in the absence of a prescription, in an effort to alleviate drug shortages.
