Bank of France pursues eurozone yuan liquidity accord

Seeking to catch up with the Bank of England's plans to sign a currency-swap arrangement for yuan trading, the Bank of France is pursuing an agreement among eurozone central banks to provide yuan liquidity. "We've been working with the Hong Kong authorities, the Chinese banks," said Bank of France Governor Christian Noyer. "The system is now being put in place, and the Chinese banks are very interested and the big international banks, too."
