Boston schools seek more funding for special education

The School Department in Boston Public Schools is seeking an additional $6 million in special-education funding, $5 million of which would pay for more behavioral specialists for students on the autism spectrum. Other funds would be used to pay for additional occupational and physical-therapy services and to expand a middle-school inclusion program.
