Calif. Senate passes bill on NPs' scope of practice

The California state Senate passed a bill that would reduce barriers to nurse practitioners' practicing to the full extent of their licenses. "We need to do something to address the provider shortage. We have to look at making sure we get more individuals access to primary care," said state Sen. Ed Hernandez, D-West Covina, the bill's sponsor. The measure now goes the state Assembly.
