ExxonMobil shareholders rejected a proposal that would require the company to set emissions-reduction goals. Significant cuts in the consumption of oil to curb emissions would affect efforts against poverty, said Rex Tillerson, chairman and CEO of Exxon. "What good is it to save the planet if humanity suffers?" Tillerson said.
