Fitness experts say it is a myth that people who exercise can eat anything they want or that a workout can spot-treat areas of fat. Other common misconceptions include believing treadmills are better for joints than outdoor running, sweating is a measure of a good workout, pre-exercise stretching improves performance and women who lift weights will get bulky muscles.
