Lawmakers seek to increase veterans' mental health care access

Reps. Glenn Thompson, R-Pa., and Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y., have introduced a bill aimed at easing military veterans' access to mental health care. The Veterans E-Health and Telemedicine Support Act of 2013 would expand treatment options, reduce waiting times and help vets avoid any perceived stigma by giving them the choice to access services remotely via telephone or the Internet, Thompson and Rangel write.
