Okla. tornado victims to retain insurance policies, regulator says

Non-renewals, cancellations and terminations have been suspended for insurance policies held by victims of recent Oklahoma storms, state Insurance Commissioner John Doak said. Doak also ordered the deferral of rate increases taking effect on or after May 19 for homeowners and auto policies in areas affected by the storms. "This is just a small, administrative step that we can take to help ease the burden of the victims of this devastating storm," Doak said.
