OSHA alleges fall-safety violations in Mass., proposes fines of $290,000

Massachusetts-based Twin Pines Construction could face more than $290,000 in fines proposed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which has alleged that the firm violated fall-protection standards. OSHA said it has found repeat violations and that workers were exposed to the risk of falls of 9 to 30 feet because of a lack of fall-protection equipment. The company has 15 business days to respond to the proposed fines.
