State Dept. to change lead negotiator in U.S.-South Korea nuclear talks

The State Department's top negotiator in bilateral nuclear energy discussions between the U.S. and South Korea will be replaced, a department official said. Robert Einhorn has handled negotiations about amending a nuclear cooperation pact between the countries in the past two years. "Assistant Secretary of State for International Security and Nonproliferation Thomas Countryman will continue our negotiations with the Republic of Korea on a successor civilian nuclear cooperation agreement," the official said.
