Survey shows women check food labels more often than men

Women check out food labels -- including the Nutrition Facts label, health claims, ingredient lists and serving sizes -- more often than men, University of Alabama researchers reported in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The survey found that older adults did more nutrition fact checking than younger adults.
