Switzerland considers deal to settle U.S. tax dispute

The Swiss government is reviewing a deal that would end a long-standing disagreement with the U.S. government regarding tax evasion, sources say. Under the proposal, Switzerland would disclose names of bank clients and pay a fine of at least $7 billion. The government would then ask Swiss banks to reimburse it for the fine.
