Texas developer fights "uphill battle" on big building signs

The city council in Lubbock, Texas, voted to indefinitely table an appeal by developer Delbert McDougal of a Planning and Zoning Commission decision to deny his request to install large, illuminated "super graphic signs" on several downtown high rises. Mayor Glen Robertson called the push to change the city's 40-year-old sign ordinance an "uphill battle."
