U.S. infrastructure and the online supply chain

The bridge that collapsed in Washington state last week is about an hour north of Amazon's headquarters and offers the latest illustration of the reasons why traditional and online retailers should care about the country's crumbling infrastructure and its potential to disrupt the supply chain, said Brian Pallasch, government relations director for the American Society of Civil Engineers. "What they want is the certainty in the route. What they don't want is an unscheduled delay," he said.
