Web currency exchange laundered billions, U.S. attorney says

Liberty Reserve, an online currency exchange, laundered $6 billion, much of it used for criminal activity, before it was shut down and its operators indicted, prosecutors say. The exchange might have run the biggest online money-laundering operation in history, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara says.
