Would farm bill help Wash. schools serve healthier meals?

U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell is supporting a farm bill that she says would help introduce more nutritious foods into schools in Washington state and also benefit the economy. "If we can incorporate things like hummus or tortillas made with some of the flours made from the pulse crops, it'll just add more nutrients to the products that the kids eat at lunch every day," said Kim Elkins, child nutrition director for the Mead School District.
