Conceptual renderings: Getting Bertha fixed

Several conceptual renderings illustrate how Seattle Tunnel Partners intends to reach tunnel-boring machine Bertha, which has been stuck beneath the city of Seattle since December. A circular pit 120-feet deep will be dug and enclosed with 75 piles. Groundwater will be lowered, and a crane brought in. Then, damaged pieces of the machine will be removed and repaired. The TBM could begin work again in March.
