A series of long-term analyses shows that the current Congress is the least productive and least popular of the postwar period, while members spend increasingly huge amounts of money on their election campaigns. "So this Congress is among the most gridlocked, least popular, most polarized and least productive ever. Oh, and it's also the most expensive on record. Apart from that, though, things are going great," writes Andrew Prokop.
