Statins not for everyone, some experts say

A report published in BMJ shows that while certain populations benefit from statin use, expanding statin use to healthy people with risk factors for future heart trouble might not be beneficial. The data are part of a movement challenging 2013 recommendations from the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology that statin use should be considered in a wider range of people.
