Study sheds more light on diabetes in U.S.

More than 73 million adults, making up nearly one-third of the country's entire population, suffer from high blood sugar levels or diabetes, and a third of people with diabetes don't know they have the condition, according to a new study. Experts say the problem represents a "genuine epidemic," but by identifying people with pre-diabetes or undiagnosed diabetes, many cases could be prevented or delayed.
