CBS to buy social network Last.fm

CBS was expected today to announce its acquisition of U.K.-based music-oriented social-networking site Last.fm for $280 million. Last.fm, which has roughly 15 million monthly users, including 4 million in the U.S., streams music online and makes listening recommendations based on user profiles.
