White House chef brings taste of Philippines downtown

White House executive chef Cristeta Comerford gave a rare, private demonstration of her native Filipino cuisine, including arroz caldo, a comfort food that she compares to chicken noodle soup. Together with local chef Cliff Wharton, Comerford prepared five traditional Filipino dishes, including paella with Manila clams and a banana lumpia dessert.
