Analysts: REITs may have hit bottom in February

Publicly traded real estate investment trusts may be able to weather a recession, according to analysts. REITs that own shopping malls, office spaces and even apartment buildings where former homeowners are now taking refuge seem especially well-positioned to survive the economic downturn. Some analysts now say February marked the bottom for the sector.
