Banks discuss revised mortgage settlement with state AGs

Banks in the U.S. are striving to avoid paying billions over troubled foreclosure documentation by discussing a revised settlement with state attorneys general. The new settlement structure would allow the lenders to choose different options for helping struggling borrowers, sources said.
