Study: Older diabetes drugs are better than new ones

Older diabetes drugs were more effective and had fewer side effects than newer diabetes medicines, a report from the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality stated. Experts added that older diabetes drugs also have generic versions that cost much less than the newer brand-name drugs, which could help cut health spending among patients.
