BlackBerry hopes to turn disaffected developers in its direction

BlackBerry's head of mobile gaming, Anders Jeppsson, has relocated to Ottawa, Ontario, hoping to make the capital of Canada the hub of gaming development for the mobile platform, Vito Pilieci writes. "It really is a vibrant gaming scene here. We need to be bringing great games to our platform," says Jeppsson, who hopes to attract developers frustrated by writing for the larger mobile platforms only to find that discovery is too difficult. He says some of BlackBerry game developers have turned a profit in 24 to 28 hours.
