BlueStacks is making an Android-application powered gaming console called GamePop. It will be free through June, then $129 after that, and will charge $6.99 a month for unlimited gaming. South Korean gaming company COM2US will get its own channel on the console and Intellijoy is adding educational titles to the subscription package, too. Instead of expecting developers to write to its platform, the GamePop team "is doing the opposite, and making sure that developers can bring their software untouched to its device," Darrell Etherington writes.
