Campaign aims to build first crowdfunded space telescope

Planetary Resources has begun raising money to create the first crowdfunded space telescope. The company's campaign on Kickstarter.com aims to raise $1 million to build and launch the Arkyd 100 in 2015. Those who donate $200 or more will be able to choose their target, observe it for 30 minutes and get a photo to keep. The campaign raised $200,000 in its first day.
