Construction of defense facilities in Md. to cost $2.5B

Construction of defense-related facilities in Anne Arundel County, Md., is estimated to reach up to $2.5 billion, according to Deltek. Projects under the initiative are expected to be "of a sizeable nature in magnitudes of construction," with costs ranging from $25 million to as much as $500 million or higher, the research firm said. "There's an opportunity for those that do specialized areas of construction and are looking for greener pastures," said Kevin Plexico, Deltek vice president of information solutions.
