EMR-based alert system improves flu vaccination in NYC

Activation of FluAlert, a reminder system in children's EMRs that was synchronized with New York City's vaccine registry, helped increase flu vaccination in four large clinics. Health care professionals who used the system responded to the alert 82% of the time, researchers reported at the Pediatric Academic Societies meeting.
