Ga.'s Northwest Corridor gains final environmental approval

Georgia's first state project "using the Public Private Partnership model" has received the Federal Highway Administration's final environmental approval, the Georgia Department of Transportation said. The Record of Decision by the FHWA allows GDOT to proceed with right-of-way acquisition and construction for the Northwest Corridor project. Construction is scheduled to start in 2014 and be completed by 2018.
