Locally grown movement hits spas: Foods not just for eating anymore

Close-to-home food ingredients are on the menu at a growing number of spas, where herbs, vegetables and fruits are being farmed for use in scrubs, skin care and massage. Spas such as Spa Montage at Montage Laguna Beach, Calif., are raising strawberries and rosemary to use in treatments, and Sorrel River Ranch Resort & Spa, in Moab, Utah, offers freshly foraged spa ingredients for its therapies.
